Happy new year 2025!
Well, it has been almost 3 years since the last update to my 6502 computer project :( (life has gotten busy). However, I have made a little progress with it. Back in 2022, I started a new revision of the 6502 board, but I never finished it. A few days ago, I finally finished it and sent it into JLCPCB to get it manufactured. Also back in the summer of 2023, I designed a serial card to communicate (and possible program the EEPROM), but I have yet to do any testing of it. I was going to test it this week, however, I ended up destroying the old dev board I designed when pulling out the EEPROM DIP from the board sigh (pin got stuck in socket and I couldn't remove socket).
I hope to actually start developing some sort of kernel/OS for it at some point this year. One of my first goals is to create some-sort of on device EEPROM programmer over serial so I don't have to keep pulling out the chip. After that, I have an old TI calculator screen I want to get working with it so I can actually see some stuff happening. I've been a little busy in school and work lately, but I now know more about computer architecture and assembly language, so I should be able to create something soon.
